Goshala

We run a Goshala (cow shed) at Devanahalli. At present the Goshala is home to about 30 cows and calves, donated by the public on various special occasions.

 Initiatives
On the advice of Mr. Viswanath Srikantaiah of the Rainwater Club, the urine of these cows is being converted to 'grey water' and is used for watering grass and other plants. We are also in the process of setting up a biogas plant which will convert the cow dung generated into cooking gas.
